this isn't surprising of the beeb.
they have that awful adrian chiles man presenting MOTD, and he doesn't know the slightest thing about football.
and i believe kelly osborne still does the "phone in surgery" on radio one. how anyone could turn to an osborne sprout for emotional advice is beyond me. |

Amen to that comment about Kelly Osbourne. The Sunday Surgery used to be really good before she came and gatecrashed it; she's so bloody self-absorbed that the whole show seems to revolve around her. It's no longer focused on the callers and their problems. She also seems to have been through pretty much everything that any caller has (yeah right) and offers advice which is just so meaningless and really patronising at times.
I wouldn't be surprised if the show has lost listeners. You need someone who is definitely older, has had more life experience etc to be presenting a show like that.

but i did hear a bit of the open surgery when westwood was doing it. it was pretty fucking hilarious. |

lol. jo whiley does not have a sexy voice! shes got to be one of the worst interviewers in the world.
i like the fact zane is so enthusiastic about well, everything, but i dont really like his presenting style. bit too big and dumb. like an indie rock westwood.
westwood however, is a total legend :D

i'm listening to jo whiley right now, and she stirs my loins with that voice of her. even though shes 50 odd, i still would.
it was nice to hear chiles getting pwned by moyles yesterday. even though moyles is a bit of a div himself.

haha. you know the best breakfast show on bbc radio is not r1 or r2, its 6 music.
r3 is good if you like classical and r4 is good if you wanna be woken up by highbrow discussion (which sometimes i really do), but george lamb on 6 is pretty fucking funny. there, thats my radio tip for the day.
mary anne hobbs has a nicer voice than whiley i reckon, even if she does always sound like shes just got out of bed. or is actually IN bed. sort of like the female gilles peterson.

Haven't heard a great deal of Nihal, so cannot comment.
However, I do like the music side of things.
I think Adrian is pretty good. HE used to be good on Working Lunch when I used to watch it.
I definitely agree with the Kelly Osborne thing. I cannot stand listening to her...hence i do not.
Zane is cool...he seems to be really passionate about the music and plays a lot of varied stuff.
I've heard a lot of things about 6music..i should check it out.
'Strap it up before you slap it up' was great.
There were a few others as well, but i cannot remember them.
