a notebook is perfectly fine. its the fucking pretentious Filofax that takes the piss.

i'm a fiend for stationary so i visit WH Smith and similar shops regularly.

i cant help but look at the Filofax's and shudder.

its 2008 now and they're more expensive now than ever before, costing about £15-20 each.

you realise how much of a rip off these are when you notice the refills for the different sections placed below the organisers cost about £5. EACH :|

i despise blackberry's, and everything they stand for.

let me rephrase that first bit, it doesn't mean im online in the work sense, as in constantly available/on call... i check my emails only when im on the laptop, its not about getting emails at 3am coming straight to my phone

they do a whole range, but i've always prefered the a5 ringbound plastic covered one. i've got a hardback at the mo and its not quite the same :(

I have a filofax - could do with a PDA but sometimes you just want to scribble something down without the hassle of technology.

I hate the idea of a filofax. I use scraps of paper, which I then lose.

Altho, if I get my act together, I tell my clerk dates and he then reminds me.

I keep thinking about buying a diary. A small pocket job. But I never get around to it.

I have contemplated a Blackberry but 1. I'd never work it out and 2. I'd never use it and 3. I'd feel a prat having one and 4. I'd rather spend the money on wine.

i've had loads, i had the XDA II back in the day, switched back to tmobile and had a Vario and now a Vario II, the latter of which is available on o2 under some other pseudonym.

i've always had a pocket pc of some variety or another, they're all very simmilar, although the newer ones will come with windows mobile version 6 as opposed to v.5. the only differences are really hardware based.

Some months in my diary have heavily scribbled notes where I have obsessively tried to account for my every waking hour. Remaining pages are absolutely blank for weeks on end. These weeks routinely coincide with me deciding that a diary is way too heavy to be lugging around in my already filled bag. I think myself a girl of extremes

Nothing wrong with a filofax, yes they may be costly, but they work well for what they are.

I've got a diary which was given to me called 'daytimer'

it's glaring at me now, 90% of the red boxes mean 'work days' and the blue boxes mean 'weekends'

I use a moleskin sketch book to record my prozac/placebo musings and personal work. It's pretentious as fuck whipping it out. but i love it.

and a fucking great big lug of a pukka pad for 9-5 work, which gets left at the office so i don't go fuckin nuts doing work at home.

Tempted by blackberry or crackberries as i like to call em - but i know work will want to sync emails to it. Fuck that. They are very handy though. but..hmmm... there's something about writing emails on a bus which doesn't really take to me. Yet sunny showed me his and i was quite impressed.

Have you seen those pink filofaxs? Rancid. just because its for charity doesn't mean it has to look like a sack of shit.
