Oh great *sighs*
As far as I know, The Roots gig is sold out. It's part of a series of gigs held at Somerset House. I think it's a week of gigs, incl. Amy Winehouse and Hot Chip. |

There's usually a lunchtime recital of Mozart at All Hallows church in the City each month.
Don't think I'm going tho. You get a really rough crowd. You can't move for bath chairs, scones and there's a group of pensioners who insist on storming the font during the Halelujah chorus. Last time the verger was powerless to stop them. It was terrifying. |

The LPO did a great set at the Royal Festival Hall last week, you would have enjoyed it Ed. They even allowed you to enjoy your pint during the performance. |

oh, maybe i should have put the liz green thing here instead.
hmm...well it was a thought in my head..so i guess that's why it went into that thread.
although, pretty much everything is a thought in my head.
well, not everything, just everything that i think about.
anyway, liz green, sunday, kentish town road, blues/soul, ella-esque (although i dont particularly like the comparison).
check out humblesoul.net and the myspace. |

oooh, perfect timing.
The Roots were bloody brilliant last night! I guess it goes without saying though. I was slightly concerned that now that I've seen them so many times that I would see the same set as I've seen so many times before but it was a wicked wicked gig. And of course, somerset house is a wicked venue. I wish I had gone to the Jazz Cafe afterwards coz Questlove was doing a DJ set. That woulda been baaaaad! |

Krs One gig was good but I was slightly uncomfortable considering his circumstances...(his son shot himself in the head two days earlier). I really enjoyed it but then when he started talking about the death, it was like, why the hell didn't you cancel the gig and be with your family?!! Hmmm... |

Dude, it was cancelled. Conor Oberst is ill.
Been out of the gig loop for a while now, would have loved to have seen Bright Eyes. Saw Bright Eyes in 2004, acoustic performance, intensely mindblowing experience. One to definitely relish |

went to see kanye west on monday night and it was pants. made us wait a over an hour for him to come on stage and because it was filmed for TV, we had to act like we were enjoying it. he went off stage halfway through his performance because he wanted to do his first song again and he asked us to be excited all over again. And then he stopped the show later on to ask the crowds to throw their diamonds in the sky coz 'it would look good for TV'. Blah blah blah. |

more of a cultural thing but recently I discovered Sega music... the offical festival music of Mauritius... now this shit has an addictive beat.. calypso and salsa blend... sometimes soca and with hindi lyrics... though French is the norm... anyway the dances are amazing.. frilly dresses and ballet fused and what not... so Im going to check out the Mauritian Diwali party on 10th Nov in Wandsworth with my work colleagues... ghey flowery shirt is a must... should be a laugh. |
