didnt the ruler of kashmir accede to india at the last count? he knew he could not hold out or see sense not to when confronted by all the invaders and rabble rousing, interfering mujahidin, nw frontiers rag tag bunch of islam warriors working together with assortment of regulars from the pakistan army! they were not what kashmir wanted or needed to have in their midst.
imagine if they came and ruled?
kashmir was simply not big or strong enough to remain or be an independent nation.
the medley of regions and states and kingdoms otherwise known by Indian and revered as 'Hind' down the years thus took it under its fold!
