So then what does Keegan hold in store for Newcastle apart from fast free flowing attacking football?

Mike Ashley and chairman Chris Mort have done a wise piece of business by appointing King Kev as Manager who has come back for his third stint at Newcastle United. It was never going to work had we got in Sparky from Blackburn or Camacho whos currently Benefica manager but then Houllier was also mentioned and I for one was content with him coming to St James Park but having King Kev return makes it all the most better!!!

He's signed a 3 and half year deal at the Toon and he has major major rebuilding work to do!! With King Kev being Mike Ashleys first appointment as Manager he will surely be given significant funds to strenghten the squad!

Who will he bring in to St James Park in the coaching capacity, I think he'll promote Peter Beardsley as first team coach, with Alan Shearer coming in as first team coach or even assistant and there is even talk that Derek Fazackerly (Man City) coach coming in as assistant manager to King Kev and not forgetting Nigel Pearson who is already at the club!!

As for players I'm not too sure on who he will look to bring in but I can imagine for the defence there'd be a right back, centre back and a left back!

Midfield - Right winger and a centre midfielder!

As for his striking options I think he'll keep faith with Owen, Duke, Martins, Smith, Ameobi and young Carroll!

Give your thoughts on his return and who he may sign in the future!!

Long live King Kev and his energising football!!

Is Keegan really the man to take the newcastle job?

He has been out of management for sometime also probably the worst time to look after a club in desperation.

But on the flip side he was the man to take the toon army out of division two, and bought them up two leagues. Did he do the same with Fulham??

His dad was a miner who worked down a mine.
And he wanted to be a mole on the wall.
And he has the tide in his court!

Man I am looking forward to his interviews! Hahahahahaha!

He will do a good job... cos he will have money to spend.

tactically inept (by his own admissions); mentally hes as strong as Britney Spears as his record tells us but nonetheless a fantastic motivator and I hope he does well as he's a likable fella.

Keegan

when he gets put under pressure he walks

England
Man City

no doubt if things dont go to well at Newcastle he will walk again

Positive thing for him is that he does actuall give a shit though ! he wears his heart on his sleeve type of guy ....

when he gets to high pressure point then yes by all means he walks, so??

we should all know when to get out of something just like shares or a job or a simple bad decision which needs to be reversed, life!

chuffed for the geordies and NUFC, may he do well.

lets see if the fractitious Keegan/Owen relationship heals and works.....

Joe sources from St James Park say he has atleast £30 million to spend in this transfer window and the next window he will have unlimited amounts. I think by the end of next week the amount of funding he wil have will be out in the press!

I wonder who he'll look to sign in this Januarys transfer window... Names mentioned already in the press are:

Jermaine Defoe

Shaun - Wright Philips

Wayne Bridge

Deco

Diego

Wes Brown

I personally feel he should strenghten his coaching side quickly and I hope for Newcastles sake he keeps Nigel Pearson!!

Jalebi, he's had a few years out the game, and I think by his interviews you can see that his mentality has changed and he's glad to be back and he's here for the long run! If Alan comes as his assitant then it looks quite rozy!

im curious as to what state he is in. is he over the huge knocks he took to his confidence with the england job. and man city job fizzling out.

he seems like a different keegan. wiser. more thoughtful. that may not be necessarily a good thing tho. the old "i'd luvvit if we beat dem!!" keegan was something else. i hope hes not lost a bit of that fire that he had.

hes been out only 3 years. but he has been IN football still coaching. he may have worked on some of his weaknesses there. who knows.
