Should Zia's Son Run for Elections... |

Why shouldn't he? There's nothing stopping him really.
However, I find this whole concept of nepotism in Pakistani politics very uneasy, especially when it's used under the guise of democracy.
It's like keeping up with the Jones's but taking it way too far. It's more about competition between families, rather than bettering the nation. It's not about being elected to make Pakistan a more prosperous nation, it's more to do with pulling more votes than the other families. |

Basic, if a democratic country like the US can do it, then why can't Pakistan? |

The US has done it, and has it succeeded?
It's not about can and can't, no law would stop it.
It should be more should or shouldn't.
As who'se interests are you looking out for? Your families assetts, or the running of the country? |

Ms_XtReMe, He has to have a feel of the pakistani political climate so that he realises what he is getting into and the only way he will see this is when he is familiar with the country and what its going through.
I think he has been forced into this by his father to carry on the bhutto name in pakistani politics. |

Platinum, everyone is a religious affairs leader in Pakistani government. The title doesn't hold much value in my opinion.
Thaddeus - rational and balanced for telling Pakistani's that it would be justified to blow yourself up because Rushdie was knighted? O_O
I think not.
I have a feeling he's going to run for the elections. |
